This speaking/listening workshop will focus on food culture in different regions (parts) of the US.  Each week you will learn about a new region in the US and its food culture. For example, during our first week, you will learn about food in New Orleans, Louisiana.  You will learn how to cook American food through reading recipes and watching videos.  You will also learn the vocabulary, including idiomatic language, and phrases used to make food, as well as order food at a restaurant (and what the server might say). You will have many opportunities to use the cultural information and language learned in different speaking activities.
